Love Notions Harmony

The Love Notions Feature Friday this week is a good one!  Today only you can grab the Harmony Blouse for just $5.  (This post contains affiliate links.  Shopping through them costs you nothing but I get a small commission that keeps this hobby of mine going ;))

The Harmony Blouse is a classic woven tee pattern that is perfect for all those flowy wovens you’ve been hoarding (oh wait, is that just me?).  The Harmony has multiple sleeve options and shaping in all the right places.  Bust darts and a back center seam bring things in where you want them.  It is fitted through the chest and shoulders and nice and loose through the waist and hips.

For this version, I made a few changes to suit my personal taste.  I sewed up a size small and raised the bust darts an inch (there’s instructions on this simple alteration in the pattern).  The Harmony has a scoop neckline but I prefer a much higher neck.  I used the crew neckline from the Classic tee in the front to bring the neckline up about 2 inches.  I adjusted my bias tape length to compensate for this change.

I also eliminated the back closure on this one.  I noticed on my two previous versions that I could easily slip them on without undoing the button and thought I’d experiment with leaving it off.  Even with raising the neckline, this still fits over my head super easy (and I even tried it with a big ‘ol bun in my hair!).

I used a dreamy Art Gallery rayon that floats and was so nice to work with.  It feels so good on and I’m pretty sure this will be part of my new uniform for my Saturdays at the hot soccer fields.  It’s so light and airy and I think it will pair great with shorts or a cute pencil skirt too!

Make sure to check out the Love Notions blog today for a great guest post on the Harmony and a new fun add-on (I’m dying to try it on my next version!).
