The Hey June Lucerne Blouse is sure to become a fan favorite. I was lucky enough to get to test it and I’m already anxious to sew up more!
The Lucerne is the perfect summer blouse- nice and flowy with so much style. It features a curved shirt tail hem that is longer in the back. It works great for my ever-present half tuck in front but still covers my tush in the rear 😉
My favorite feature is the fantastic sleeve options. I sewed up the tie sleeves but the pattern also comes with a tulip sleeve choice as well. AND you can mix and match the sleeves from the Amalfi and Phoenix patterns too giving you a boatload of combos to try!
The Lucerne comes in sizes 2-22. I sewed up a straight size 6 and love the fit of it. The neckline is finished with a facing which is becoming my favorite way to finish a woven neckline (I can’t seem to get a bias neckline to behave!). This version is sewn up without alterations but I do think I’ll raise the neckline slightly in the future. Let’s just say the hubby is a fan of this neckline but I prefer a little more coverage.
I sewed mine up in a pretty striped rayon challis from Raspberry Creek Fabrics. This fabric moved so beautifully in the wind and I love how light and airy it is. It is a tiny bit sheer but not too bad. I did wear a tank under because between the neckline and opacity I knew I’d be more comfortable with it.
I loved seeing all the tester versions and with each new sew my wish list grew! Make sure to check them all out here. You can pick up the pattern here.
